Man charged with DUI after chase through golf course, deputies say

When deputies knocked on the door of an improperly parked 2001 Nissan Xterra at the PGA Gold Course in Navarre, they startled the snoozing driver,?Kenneth Japhet Viruet-Gonzalez, who sped away,?reports the Northwest Florida Daily News in Fort Walton Beach.

But Gonzalez, 21, didn't get far.

He hit a hazard on the course:?Viruet-Gonzalez reportedly drove through the course and then into the backyard of a home, hitting a screened lanai.
